Skiing and Children
It's never too early!

Sci Club Blockhaus - Passolanciano

Children are the flagship of our school.
Many years of experience have enabled us to develop a first-rate organization, especially for our younger guests.

Trust us with full peace of mind…we will take care of your children from the younger to the elder ones.

And what about the location? Your children will learn how to ski in a very idyllic spot, for both children and beginners! Our camps and ski runs - all within their reach- are located in a unique place that is the wonderful, panoramic and all day long sunny "plateau" of Mammarosa.

SKIING AND PLAYING

At what age can children start skiing?
The recommended age is from 4 years old up. However, sometimes personal factors such as weight, height and psychomotor skills allow an earlier start or vice versa may require a more gradual approach.
Private or group lessons carried out by our ski instructors, who are specialized in teaching children, are the ideal way for young participants to approach this sport, to learn the basis of this discipline or to improve it having fun.

From game to sport
Skiing is a sport even if it may seem you are playing.
The Ski School helps your children to learn the bases of this discipline having fun by introducing them to technical features in a pleasant and attractive way, as a game.
Proper teaching aids are at your children’s disposal into a "playground" where they will be constantly surrounded by figures and people they knows, protected and pampered by their formidable friend "ski instructor" who will takes care of them by checking movement accuracy and correcting any technical mistakes.

And what about the equipment?
For the first time, and usually during the first two / three years of activity, considering the physical evolution of the child (the increase in weight and height) it may be recommended to rent the equipment.
Thanks to the agreement with the Blockhaus (LINK) you can rent good equipment at budget prices.

What if something goes wrong?
What if something goes wrong? The professionalism of our instructors may sometimes meet with an obstacle, signs of intolerance, aversion for physical effort or inexplicable whims.
But do not worry about it.
Learning is difficult and everybody knows it, grown-ups and children. Sometimes participants may feel disturbed by a large or hasty meal, by a high wind as well as by parents’ presence / absence. Our instructors are professionals who know their job and how to get over these little difficulties. You will see: everything will be overcome with a smile of satisfaction from all.

Our secret?
What predisposes a child, but also an adult, to learn and then to practice a sport, is a deep motivation, the will to do. The ski instructor is a technician but also a connoisseur of the human soul. Thanks to his professionalism he knows how to pick out interests and goals of each, adapting systems and methods to psychology or circumstances .

My son can ski already.
As in any activity, either sporty or not, there is always something more to learn and to improve. The most difficult and challenging step is usually the first moment of learning. Being able to control the speed and cornering on skis may seem a dream and give us so many thrills and fun.
What do you prefer?
Remaining in the ski resort to fight with the snowplough or the little ladder or running down the slopes with snow that flows beneath you? The more we learn, the more we enjoy ourselves, because we have more tools and we know how to use them better.
If a child, a boy or an adult can ski already, they may continue to take lessons which, of course, will be tailored to their level without being forced to start all over again, but constantly evolving and updating their technique.
